Olexandr SHOVKOVSKYI: “We get in a tight”

Olexandr SHOVKOVSKYI: “We get in a tight”

- We realized that the game would be difficult and analyzed our opponent’s play. We knew that Karpaty defend well. Anyway first of all it’s important that we’ve qualified for the next stage.

- Dynamo don’t play confidently in two games in a row. What is the reason for that?

- I think that defeat against Aalborg BK is the result of individual mistakes. We had good chances in the first half, but didn’t use them.

- This time supporters were waiting for spectacular play…

- Of course supporters want Dynamo to win every match by big margin, but our opponents also analyze our play, focus on our strengths. We get in a tight as we have to look for various ways to score. Besides some performers got a possibility to have rest as we faced Karpaty.

- Mykyta Burda switches position for the third time. Has he coped with duties of right back in your opinion?

- I think he has all necessary qualities to perform on any position in defense. Still it’s a different matter that everyone should also help attacking players. There’s no limit to perfection.

- Karpaty had to score, but they started the game rather passively. Are you disappointed with that?

- Am I disappointed with the fact that I haven’t conceded? (smiling). We assumed that they would play taking into account our match against Aalborg BK.

- Do players discuss who would take penalty before the game or Yarmolenko just took the initiative?

- Players decide who takes penalties themselves, but actually if Oleh Husiev is on the pitch he usually does that.

- Is it good that Ukrainian Cup round include two legs now?

- It’s hard to say. I guess it’s difficult for teams, which have tight schedule, perform in euro cups and for internationals.
