Halfback Serhiy Miakushko was born in Kyiv. Since early childhood he was fond of football.

His father used to feature for amateur teams. When his son turned six he took him to FC Dynamo Kyiv School, where his first coaches were Vitaliy Khmelnytskyi, Yuriy Yastrebynskyi and Yevhen Rudakov.

It seemed that promising player would go the usual path including DynamoSchool, Academy and reserve team. Still that didn’t happen and Serhiy had to look for another club.

For some time he performed for FC Atlet and at the age of 14 he was spotted by FC Obolon Kyiv. That was a good chance for Serhiy to approve himself.

New challenges

In 2010/11 season Miakushko made 17 appearances for Obolon reserve team. The following year he made his debut in Ukrainian Premier League (7 appearances). Still Obolon relegated, which meant new challenge for Serhiy – Ukrainian First League.

The case that returned him to Dynamo

In autumn of 2012 Obolon went into liquidation. As Dynamo trainee was looking for the new club he was called up to Ukraine U-21. Getting ready for CIS Cup the Yellow-Blues played a sparring against FC Dynamo Kyiv reserve team. Fortunately Kyivans’ president Ihor Surkis was present at that game.

After the match Miakushko was offered to return to Dynamo and he agreed.

Still as Serhiy missed the pre-season training camp he had problems with physical conditions and couldn’t feature for the White-Blues reserve team, but considering his age he could perform for Dynamo U-19.

With supreme attitude of mind

Miakushko made his debut for Dynamo U-21 on March 2 2013 as Kyivans opposed FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih reservists. In general he made 14 appearances in 2012/13 season (eight for Dynamo U-21 and six for Dynamo U-19) and netted one goal.

In the first half of 2014/15 UPL talented halfback featured for FC Hoverla Uzhhorod on loan and scored two goals in eight matches with one of them against FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

On August, 2015 he made his debut for the first Kyiv Dynamo tean in a 2-0 victory over Chornomorets (2-0) in Ukraine Premier League.

As for Miakushko’s career aims, they are supreme. Of course the main goal is to play on the constant basis for White and Blues main squad! Let’s wish Serhiy success!
