Profile

On June 21 2013 prolonged negotiations between RSC Anderlecht and FC Dynamo Kyiv were successfully over.
Kyivans have paid a substantial price for Belgians’ best striker Dieumerci Mbokani. Never the less Anderlecht were sorry to lose their forward as last season he was one of few players in the world who scored in every competition he participated in!
Deserved recognition
2012/13 season was triumphant for the 27-year-old target man with uneasy fate. In general he made 41 appearances, scored 29 goals and assisted his teammates 8 times. As it has already been mentioned, Mbokani scored in every competition he participated in: Belgian Pro League (19), Belgian Cup and Super Cup (2), AFCON (2) and UEFA Champions league (6).
2011/12 season was also a success for Dieumerci, whose name is the French for “Thank You, God!”. He made 36 appearances for Anderlecht and Congo national team and scored 21 goals (+9 assists). This was a great contribution into Brussels side’s triumph in Belgian Pro League. Besides Mbokani became the best player of 2011/12 season in Belgium. He was the first Congolese to win this award since 1954.
Fight for the place in the sun
Mbokani started scoring a lot as he played in Congo. In 2004 as he was 19 Dieumerci became the best national league striker playing for FC Belyor Kinshasa (16 goals). Later he was invited to another football club from Congo – Mazembe. In 2006/07 season Mbokani went on a loan move to RSC Anderlecht.
Dieumerci made his debut for Brussels side on September 22 2006 against Charleroi SC. Still by the end of April of 2007 Mbokani made only 3 appearances (5 minutes on the pitch). On April 29 2009 Mbokani netted his first goal for Anderlecht (against KSV Roeselare). The next game was a real triumph for Dieumerci as he scored a hat trick against KSK Beveren (8:1)!
Next season Mbokani started as Standard Liege first team regular. He spent 3 seasons playing for Liege side (116 appearances, 42 goals).
After that Dieumerci moved to Monaco, but as he scored only 1 goal in 10 Ligue 1 games he went on a loan move to VFL Wolfsburg. In Germany he also couldn’t demonstrate his best because of the knee injury…
Triumphant return
On August 9 2011 Mbokani was signed by Anderlecht.
At first Dieumerci head difficulties caused by another injury and family drama (his 5-month-old son David died of cardiac distress).
Never the less Congolese player demonstrated his character and concentrated on football completely.
Te next step in his career is a move to Kyiv. “I really want to play for Dynamo Kyiv. It’s a very ambitious club which will definitely play in the Champions league in 2014/15 season. I want to take titles with the White-Blues”.
So, Dieumerci Mbokani is to help Kyivans achieve their aims. He is a striker who is good at scoring goals!
