Danilo Danilo Silva (Danilo Aparecido da Silva) Silva
Date of Birth: 24 November 1986
Age: 31
Place of birth: Campinas (Brazil)
Citizenship: Brazil
Height: 186
Weight: 72
Previous clubs: Pinhalense (Brazil), NY Red Bulls (New York, USA), Guarani FC (Brazil), Sao Paulo FC (Brazil), SC Internacional (Brazil)
Joined Dynamo: 01 February 2010

In the beginning of year 2010 the manager of Dynamo Valeriy Gazaev urgently required. The player of Brazilian Internacional Danilo Aparesido da Silva or simply Danilo Silva was recruited in the urgent manner to fill in the vacancy. The immediate shift from one part of the world to another was usual for him. Five years before that he travelled nearly in the same manner from his native Kampinas to the New York city for example.

Silva in his early years developed his  football skills in the private centre called “Gol de Placa” which did not belong to any club. He played for some time for local Penihalence and then, being 19 years old, surprisingly moved to the USA where concluded a contract with New York Red Bulls. He was limited only to few competitive games there because of injury and travelled back to Brazil soon.

East or West home is best

In the 2006/07 season Danilo played as a right defender for Guarani.

In 2007 Silva went to the famous São Paulo FC to play only three competitive matches that prompted him to look for another club.

The bosses of São Paulo wanted him to stay but after long talks between São Paulo and Guarani Silva suddenly became a player of… Internacional. At first Silva was not physically strong enough so Danilo had to go to the gym after each training session.

Silva spent two years in Internacional. He played in 48 matches and scored two goals. When Danilo was already in Kyiv he got to know that his former club won Copa Libertadores.

Trust gives confidence

Danilo Silva made a contract with Dynamo Kyiv on the 28th of February 2010 and on the 6th of March he made his debut in Ukrainian Premier League match against Illichvets Mariupol – 1:1.

Since then he plays on the position of right defender regularly. He even scored once on the 1st of May 2010 in a home win over FC Zakarpattya (2:0).

Silva is a very disciplined defender. He got only eight yellow cards during two first seasons in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Danilo is sure that signing a contract with the White and Blues he made a correct decision because now he plays in a team which aims to achieve the greatest goals.

Dynamo Kyiv is the first club where Danilo Silva got a real chance to play regularly. Dynamo fans believe that trust can help him show his best qualities exactly for their club.

Danilo Silva made his 200th appearance for the White-Blues as Kyivans opposed Maccabi Tel Aviv FC within the Champions League 2015/16 group stage matchday 2.

At the moment he’s the 4th best foreigner in terms of the number of matches played fro our club.

He’s lacking 66 games behind leader Tiberiu Ghioane (Romania), but it’s quite possible Danilo Silva will beat his record.
