Dynamo: maximum readiness

The White-Blues preparation for the season included two training camps in Austria. Kyivans were staying at Interalpen hotel in Tyrol.

Dynamo sparring-partners were both semiprofessional teams and clubs that will feature in the Champions League next season.

In general Serhiy Rebrov’s men played nine friendlies (W-5, D-2, L-2; goal difference – 21:11).

As for the training process, it has been changed comparing with previous coaches’ methods of work. Now players do more exercises with the ball.

Some Dynamo U-21 and Dynamo-2 performers also worked with the main squad. The majority of them have been included to the White-Blues players’ list for the next season.

Meanwhile Nigerian striker Brown Ideye has been signed by West Bromwich Albion FC.

Unfortunately Yevhen Khacheridi missed both training camps due to injury. Denys Harmash and Niko Kranjcar also keep recovering.

Miguel and Jeremain Lens didn’t work with Dynamo in Austria as they featured at the World Cup.

Shakhtar: uncertainty and indefiniteness

Shakhtar were getting ready for the season despite the situation in their region.

Mircea Lucescu’s men played 14 friendlies within two training camps (W-11, D-0, L-3; goal difference – 36:20).

The best striker of the team was Olexandr Hladkyi (8 goals), who has signed 2-year contract with Donetsk side.

That’s the only transfer Shakhtar have conducted so far. Moreover, some foreign performers are unwilling to keep featuring for the club because of the dangerous situation in Donetsk region.

Super Cup statistics

It will be the seventh “Ukrainian clasico” within the Super Cup. Last time Dynamo struggled for this trophy against Shakhtar in 2011 and won the game (3:1).
