UPL. Zoria – Dynamo – 2:2. Report

FC Dynamo Kyiv faced FC Zoria Luhansk away within the UPL matchday 6.

Comparing with the previous game against FC Olimpik Donetsk (1:1) Olexiy Mykhailychenko made two substitutions in the starting lineup. Harmash and de Pena replaced Shepelev and Verbic.

Home side tried to take the game under control at once, but then Rodrigues had a fabulous scoring chance. Unfortunately Gerson missed in one-on-one situation.

Still he got another opportunity and used it. De Pena put a great cross from the left side and Rodrigues headed the ball in. In a couple of minutes Harmash could double the score, but goalkeeper parried his free kick shot. It seemed the ball crossed the line, but VAR system operates only in test mode in the UPL so far…

Anyway the White-Blues managed to score again. Buialskyi found de Pena, Carlos rushed into the box and hit the target from a quite tight angle.

It seemed the two-goal lead calmed Dynamo down and Zoria pulled one back in the first half. Mykhailychenko attempted from distance, Boiko cleared the shot, but Hromov was there to send the ball into the net.

After the break home side increased the pressure. The decisive episode happened 82 minutes into the match. Abu Hanna scored spectacular goal with a scissor-kick after corner.

There were about ten minutes left, but actually Dynamo didn’t have chances to grab the winner. Meanwhile Zoria could succeed. Ivanisenya hit the exterior of the net after cross from the left side. Then Mykolenko didn’t let Budkivskyi score when he was in front of the goal.

So, it’s another draw for Dynamo – 2:2. The White-Blues are fifth in the table having one spare game.
