Another goal by Andriy Yarmolenko helps Ukraine to defeat Serbia

The friendly against Serbia was the final fixture for Ukraine national team in 2016. Andriy Shevchenko’s men have won at the Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv – 2:0!

After recent qualifier against Finland our 40-year-old gaffer stated he would change the lineup in the sparring against Serbia and he actually did. Only Bohdan Butko preserved the starting spot.

Two FC Dynamo Kyiv performers were among first eleven: Serhiy Sydorchuk (17th cap, substituted after the first half) and Viktor Tsyhankov (2nd cap). It was the best present for Viktor, who turned 19 on October 15.

The match was close, but home side supported by fans managed to score late in each half.

At first Shakhov hit the target from the six-yard box line.

62 minutes into the game FC Dynamo Kyiv forward Artem Besedin made his debut for Ukraine.

Andriy Yarmolenko substituted Tsyhankov 65 minutes into the match.

Three minutes before the time he got the ball from Besedin, rushed into the box and made Maksimovic foul. After that our #7 scored his 29th goal for Ukraine from the spot!
