Andriy YARMOLENKO: “There’s no clubs division in the national team – we play for our country”

FC Dynamo Kyiv Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko has shared his expectations of forthcoming friendlies of our national team.

- What are your expectations of forthcoming friendlies?

- We’ll play in front of our supporters, so we must demonstrate good football and win. Here we don’t have Dynamo, Shakhtar, Dnipro or Zoria – we all play for our country.

- What do you know about your opponents – Cyprus and Wales?

- I don’t care who’ll oppose us. We must follow our play first of all.

- What do players think about appointment of Andriy Shevchenko as assistant coach?

- Such person definitely won’t harm the national team. We address to him using patronymic though many players have friendly relations with him.

- What can you say about Ukrainians from Russian league, who haven’t been called up to the national team?

- I can’t judge anyone. I can just say only best players must perform for the national team no matter what league they feature in.
